生日慶祝

雖然最近忙得沒有時間寫blog，但一年一度的生日慶祝又怎能不寫呢？一如以往，我們會在正日前的週六或日慶祝，今次選擇在星期日，整天的節目包括：
1. 到會所打乒乓球，延續台灣的開心體驗。
2. 到大堂望彌撒，這是差不多每年都會做的有意義活動。
3. 到名都飲茶，那裡人很多，但東西很好吃。
4. 去護髮，虧老婆想得到！
5. 收生日禮物 --- Burberry 底底。
6. 行上樓書店及Times Square。
7. 看電影「兄弟」，是老婆一早買了票的。
8. 探望我們的寶貝豆豆。
9. 到蘭桂坊區Wagyu高級西餐廳享受晚餐，那裡有很多老外的。
10. 散步至堅道。

整日節目非常豐富，非常切合我的喜好。老婆......多謝您！

Appreciation

The draft outline I did on Tuesday was accepted by my boss's boss. After making some modifications, he submitted it to the head. I felt that my work was appreciated.

免費的Standard

今天在街上拿了一份免費報紙，細看一下，原來是Standard。我真的不夠消息靈通，原來Standard在上個月已經轉為免費，對我來說真是好消息！

working for the head

My boss's boss yesterday asked me to draft an outline of a paper, of which the author should be the head of department. On the one hand, this increased my workload, but on the other hand this meant that I was trusted by the management. I was only given one and a half day to complete this task. I thus spent the whole morning and early afternoon on this today. Luckily, I finished it on time!

Not informing the boss

My boss's boss revealed that our division recenlty revised a pamphlet without letting him know. I know that my boss did this on her own because she believed that the amendment was a minor one. However, in our department, the culture is that whenever something is for the public, especially a pamphlet, prior approval from top managment should be obtained. As such, I have to go through the whole process again.....fortunately, I succeede to put the printing on hold, otherwise a lot of paper will be wasted.
