chase somebody up

chase somebody up (phrasal verb, informail)
to ask someone to do something that they have said they would do but that they have not yet done.

Example:
1. If you don't hear from the builders this week, make sure you chase them up.
2. I must chase my flatmate up about those bills and see if she paid them.
