Excuse?

When your boss asks you to do something, better not to say "No" and give the reason immediately. It is because your boss may think that you are refusing to take up responsibility and your reason is just an excuse. Therefore, try to speak in another way, say, "This is possible/we can try, provided that we can solve the xxxxxxx problem first." So, you act positively but can still state the problem.
