Too much planning?

放下執著

四個月

今天是豆豆出生四個月的日子，很明顯他比三個月的時候又大了，手部活動亦多了。期待看到他更多的發展......

AD conducted appraisal interview with me today. He told me that a good officer should align himself with the priority/objective of the department, no matter he agrees with it or not. So....this is the survival tip he gave me?

一家人

今天是我們首次一家人﹝我、老婆和BB，不需工人幫忙﹞獨自出街吃下午茶，我們選擇的地方是IFC，雖然BB在餐廳哭過不停，令我們有些手忙腳亂，但整個下午我們過得很快樂！

再次表現勇敢

BB今天又到周醫生那裡打預防針，勇敢的孩子再度表現出他的氣慨，整個打針進程，包括把針拔出後，都沒有半點哭聲，比他的爸爸還要厲害！

開心週末

連續忙了很多天，今天終於完成了最趕的那些工作，雖然手頭上還有其他工作，但相對來說沒有那麼急。老婆那邊廂的情況也差不多，於是我們相約這個週末一起拍拖，度過一個開心的週末。

paraphernalia?!

設於公眾地方的告示牌用字應力求簡潔易明，讓市民一看便懂，但康樂及文化事務署卻捨易取難，在元朗的賽馬會廣場公園貼出多個「嚴禁擺放雜物」告示牌，英文寫法是「No paraphernalia 」這艱深英語，此事連電視節目也拿出來當笑話!

根據字典所說:

paraphernalia
You can refer to a large number of objects that someone has with them or that are connected with a particular activity as paraphernalia.

Example:
We sell pots, gloves, seeds and other gardening paraphernalia.
Bags of cocaine and all sorts of drug paraphernalia were seized at the airport.

5W

傳播學大師拉斯韋爾有一句震憾學術界的話：「誰? 說些什麽? 通過什麽渠道? 對誰說?有什麽效果?」 (who says what to whom in which channel with what effect)從而引申出傳播研究的五個內容：控制分析(誰)，內容分析(說什麼)，媒介分析(通過什麼渠道)，受眾分析(對誰)，效果分析(取得什麼效果)。

抓緊這五點，和人溝通時便更得心應手了！

老板的話

今天被老板召見，說了五分鐘公事，一小時私事───他自己的私事。
他的事我沒太大興趣，但倒有一點值得細味：在本台做事take project，不要選一些做兩三年才可交貨的，因為所有老闆都希望你能在數月內交出成績。對，他們就是這麼的心急!

代父

今天和BB到聖瑪加利大堂跟他的準代父見面，看來他頗nice，起碼不是木木獨獨的那類型。後來我們又去探訪區神父，他雖然不像講道時那麼生猛，但也很友善。

希望天主會保佑豆豆。

博衰左

下個月要到湖南出席研討會，需要遞交一篇文章。為了省功夫，我嘗試博一博，向老板提議文章只針對一個系統，結果得不到他的認同。他說要寫一篇較全面的文，希望人家對部門會有一個好的印象。

想深一層，其實他這樣想是很正路，也是從部門的角度去想。早知如此，我一早便應自動獻身，因為以他的脾性，是不會輕易讓我躲懶的。

做一個blogger真的一點也不易，必須要有恆心。我要求這個blog是每日也有一篇文章，其實是很具挑戰性的。有時不是沒有話題，而是沒有時間去寫，所以有些日子會漏寫，需要日後補上。

坦白說，這一篇blog也是後補，然後用了blog 系統的date back功能。

這幾天有機會批改City學生的英文文章，發覺無論是內容或語文均強差人意，現今的大學生真的這樣差嗎?

UCC

雖然最近很忙，但今晚有幸能和老婆拍拖，更心靈相通選擇了同一間餐廳 --- UCC。那裡吃set dinner的餐飲可以選擇他們的招牌咖啡，用壺即時煲，很好味的喔!

企鵝

今天我們問周醫生日前BB不慎被相機閃光燈照到，會不會有問題? 他的答案是: 在墨爾本供遊客參觀的企鵝，間中也會被閃光燈照到，......
企鵝? 我聽到這裡已經忍不住笑了!!!

減壓

在辦公室其中一種減壓方法，就是唸著「豆豆」。當然，望望老婆的照片也行!

Busy

I am rather busy during these "acting" days. In the past, I am just 80% occupied in the office. Now, it is 100% and sometimes I even have to take something back home to read/do. Poor......

大目標和小目標

參加過策略規劃會議，或組織變革會議的人，通常手上都有這樣的結果：一句美麗的口號（例如「我們要做華人世界最大的ＸＸ公司」），或者一個動人的台詞（我們要建立一個顧客導向的組織」）。但回到了部門裡，進入實際工作的框架，興奮感通常很快降溫。再過幾天，當那些該追的進度和截止期限一波波湧上來，目標和願景又更模糊了。

策略目標無法執行，原因之一是這些目標和員工的每日工作沒有關連。當我眼前就是賣不出去產品，或無法完成手中的專案，願景再宏大美好，又有什麼差別？因此，把大目標翻譯成每個單位的具體目標，是落實策略的重要關鍵。看看軍隊，你不需要知道整體大戰略，每個單位卻必須清楚知道自己的任務。任何一個策略目標都必須能轉化成營收、獲利和顧客價值，由大目標轉化為小目標，明確告訴員工日常工作該做什麼，及為什麼。

Acting

I started acting today......very busy.......two meetings in the morning, answering enquiries from LegCo in the afternoon, and also receiving guest from China at MAC. Well, I can foresee that I will be very busy in the coming days.

Poon

It is the last working day of Poon. Since I have taken up his job for quite a long time, handover is not required. At night, Poon took the whole section to the yacht club at Saikung to have dinner. Ceci also joined us. Very nice place and also nice food......and we say goodbye to our boss there!

寶翠園

今天我們到寶翠園睇樓，有些是兩房，有些則是三房，暫時以能夠看到泳池的一間最吸引我們。希望我們很快能找到我們的dreamhouse。

寫文章

昨天交了一篇文章給AD，此文章是打算在一些公眾也能接觸到的期刊登出的。AD的意見是文章應該要夠"layman"，很多對公眾來說較深的概念或名詞不應該突然出現，而是需要在之前有解釋，這樣讀者才能夠一步一步、很輕易地讀下去。
